IPort Charlotte was a mostly sleepy, sparsely populated section of the west coast of Florida. This went on for the first hundred years for after Florida became the 27th state in 1845. Finally, Port Charlotte is conveniently located between Sarasota and Fort Myers. What’s more, it’s conveniently located about 45-50 minutes from Regional Southwest (RSW) airport. The nearby Boca Grande beach is a popular destination for travelers worldwide.
